These outing or vacation are by and largely away from your natural environment and livings, many times people go to extreme habitat to experience nature. When we are visiting various places many things affect the body, the change in place, in climate, food habits, water and amount of exertion etc. Sometime the change in this is so drastic for the body that it doesn’t give time to get adapted we fall sick

At times it becomes challenging to adapt quickly to these changes. Everyone wants these outing be hazel free and their health should be at its best so that we can enjoy to the fullest and add memories to our library.

In India itself if we take we have 4-5 extreme climate changes in different regions. Common ailments that arise while traveling and camping respond well to homeopathic treatment. When my family and I travel, I like to bring a limited selection of remedies that can take care of the most problems that could arise. Firstly, I bring remedies that would be useful as a mini first-aid kit: minor accidents, cuts or bruises, a fever, cold and food poisoning.

1.     Cocculus indicus: This remedy helps in case of motion sickness, nausea, vomiting, head pain while on the car or in hilly areas where there are lots of turns while driving. This remedy works as an prophylaxis and for treatment

2.     Arsenic album: indicated in food poisoning – loose motions, and vomiting. The character of stools are watery, exhausting, and very smelly. Generally the person will feel very thirsty and cold. The vomiting will be incessant after every food or drink. Calls for arsenic album as a remedy.

3.     Arnica: bruises after a fall, or any blunt injury causing bruises. There is a lot of soreness in body after a fall or injury.

4.     Gelsemium: Head pain due to exposure to sun, or sun stroke, leading to dull heavy head pain, with extreme weakness, and sleepiness. This remedy helps.

5.     Pulsatilla: lot of heavy food if had, fried food, oily and then you start having pain in abdomen, gases, and indigestion. Pulsatilla can be indicated and it will help

6.     Rhus tox: Pains, stiffness, in joints, fatigue in muscles person describes the pain as if the entire body is jammed, and stiff. Generally he says pain is as if you have walked or ran 5-6 km and then the muscle pain and are fatigue. Lot of stiffness and he is very restlessness in bed, as he doesn’t find relief in any position, he feels better by warm bath or warm application. (You can get such symptoms after you have trekked, or had an uphill walk, or climbed stairs for darshan)

7.     Hepar Sulph: Throat infection with fever, intense pain in throat as if there was a fish - bone in the throat. Swollen tonsils, pain is worse on swallowing anything, cold and better by warm or hot drinks.

In sore throat you can do warm gargles with turmeric that will help to clear the throat and heal faster. Eve you can take a pinch of turmeric powder and ginger juice twice a day that too helps to heal an recover.
